Leaving the bustling streets of Hanoi behind, we cross the iconic Long Bien Bridge and follow the peaceful banks of the Red River. The cool breeze and scenic countryside provide a refreshing contrast to the city’s vibrant energy.
We arrive at the famous Bat Trang Ceramic Village, a traditional pottery village with over 700 years of history. Along the way, you’ll experience the quieter side of Hanoi, passing gardens, riverside villages, and local communities rarely visited by tourists.

Explore the charming narrow alleys of Bat Trang while discovering one of Vietnam’s oldest craft villages.

After lunch, we head north through peaceful villages and rice fields to visit the legendary Co Loa Ancient Citadel, the oldest citadel in Vietnam and the country’s first capital, dating back to the 3rd century BC.
Explore the ancient temples, massive earthen walls, and tranquil surroundings while your guide shares fascinating stories about King An Duong Vuong, the legendary magical crossbow, and the famous tale of My Chau and Trong Thuy.
You’ll also gain insight into how ancient Vietnamese civilization developed and defended itself against foreign invasions more than 2,000 years ago.
